Got an email from TripAdvisor that they are matching donations to the WCK. I believe this is a very worthwhile charity and I made a generous donation.
Since February 25, our friends at World Central
Kitchen (WCK) have been serving thousands of hot
meals to Ukrainian families fleeing their homes.
Your help is needed to support this ongoing
emergency effort. We invite you to make a donation
to WCK's Ukraine response and the Tripadvisor
Foundation will match your contribution.
If anyone would like to take advantage of that and double your donation, here's a link:

WSK is Jose Andres. Doing great work, as usual.

Thanks for posting. I was wondering about the best charity to donate, and was thinking one that helps Ukrainian refugees would be good.

A friend of mine is a member of the Knights of Columbus (I’m not). He passed on info about their Ukraine Solidarity Fund and I donated there.

I belong to the Knights of Columbus and yes, the Ukraine Solidarity Fund is a great charity. I believe 100% of donations are going to Ukraine relief efforts.
Catholic Relief Services (https://www.crs.org) is another great one. They are teaming with Caritas International providing help in Ukraine and the bordering countries accepting refugees.

Update from WCK. I still think this is one of the best causes you can donate to.

It's been one month since Russia invaded Ukraine and the numbers are sobering: nearly 4 million Ukrainians have fled the country and over 7 million are displaced internally. But behind these statistics – and behind every meal we serve – are real families who are picking up the pieces of their lives. And with your help, WCK has been on the ground to support them since day one.

We are now serving 250,000 hot, nourishing meals every day in 6 countries, with more than 3.5 million meals served so far. Thanks to our incredible restaurant partners, we are now active in 21 main cities across Ukraine, serving families from Kharkiv in the east, Odesa in the south, and Lviv in the west. In Kyiv alone, we have 84 kitchens cooking. WCK teams are active at 41 border crossing locations in Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Hungary –– and we've activated in Spain for refugees arriving to Madrid.

I tip my hat to those that have donated to the cause. It is so sad to hear about or watch what is happening.

TripAdvisor Foundation said donations to WCK have topped $5 million, of which they have matched $750K, so they're going to match another $250K. Pretty nice thing to do. Link is a couple of posts above, if you're still thinking about it.

I'm bumping this thread to suggest another organisation that can use small ($20/$50-type) donations to directly help Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

Free Ukraina Store is a small group of people who have opened a shop with basic goods for the Ukrainian refugees who have been taken in by families in Warsaw, Poland. Although Ukrainian refugees are allowed to work, many will have trouble finding jobs on the Polish labour market because of language issues. So while they are safe, and probably fed by their host families, they have trouble finding basic things like underwear and socks.

They are trying to avoid bureaucracy, so they do not accept cash donations because that involves a lot of paperwork. The best way to help them is to go to https://allegro.pl, create an account, and buy an electronic gift card for, say, 100 zloty ($20). Then send the card number by Messenger to them.

I donated €200, and introduced a couple of friends to them, and they wrote a whole post about me on their page. I found out that Kamila, the lady (she's an engineer, I'm failed engineer!) who does their social media, went on vacation 10 miles from me pre-Covid. I am 100% confident that every cent is going towards helping refugees.
