Value Line was one of several good references I used when I was trading individual stocks, but that was almost 10 years ago (all mutual funds now) and I don't know how it compares to today's resources. Way more online now I'm sure. But I never would have subscribed, I just used the local library copy whenever I wanted to research a stock(s).
I used to go to the library to use VL materials. Now I'm lazy and just use Standard & Poors reports online through Fidelity. I do look at the Value Line Dow 30 free reports that are online. I own a few of those stocks and find the reports helpful.
