Have any of you used Value Line for picking stocks for investment? What are your experiences using the materials and what have your results been?

Value Line was one of several good references I used when I was trading individual stocks, but that was almost 10 years ago (all mutual funds now) and I don't know how it compares to today's resources. Way more online now I'm sure. But I never would have subscribed, I just used the local library copy whenever I wanted to research a stock(s).

Value Line can be very helpful. I had a sub for years, and now I use it free on my library card.

I can't see that is would be useful for an asset allocating indexer, unless he also market timed.

I used to go to the library to use VL materials. Now I'm lazy and just use Standard & Poors reports online through Fidelity. I do look at the Value Line Dow 30 free reports that are online. I own a few of those stocks and find the reports helpful.
