What does a land line cost where you live?

Paid about $35 per month for local service when I dumped it about 8 months ago. I now use Ooma and pay $3.71/month for unlimited local and long distance. I'd never go back to a land line.

also have OOMA- internet phone.

pros: cheap. see other posts
consumer reports recommended ooma. over other voips
can keep phone your phone number for extra one time fee.

con: when using wireless, in beginning lost connection
seems if you connect directly to modem or router, no issues

$29. a year.I got Nettalk a few years ago and am very happy with it. Much clearer than the Windstream service in my area.

Basic Talk, $10/mo. Well, $13 with the taxes and fees. Unlimited LD.
