Don't worry about that. If the embedded network controller isn't defective, which is possible, especially since it had been disabled, it could easily handle more than 1 Mbps. It's probably a 1000 Mbps network interface.Which card? Network card? Graphics card ?
OK, good you finally got someone to hook up a decent system to verify your cable modem is working well to provide the bandwidth.
Even a 2.7 Ghz system should test better than that. Even my old Celeron laptop with an SU2300 1.2 Ghz processor on wifi tests better more consistently than that. But your 2 GB RAM is pathetic. .....
And don't forget to get a router.
