Hi. I've been a lurker for a while. Learned a lot from many here, thank you. Decided it's time to sign up and contribute.

Basics - mid 30's, single, mega corp, like the meat of the work, hate the fixings it comes with. Will relentlessly pursue my passion once I figure out what it is. Calculated risk taker. Deceptively fat.

Income allocation - 10% committed long term investments (illiquid), 20% traditional retirement vehicles, 20% short/medium term aspirations, 50% covering everything else (food, shelter, taxes, condoms, etc.)

Asset allocation - 20% small/mid cap US, 20% large cap US, 40% non-US, 10% REIT, 10% flavor of the day/month/year.

Unlike most I plan for my retirement years backwards. I assume a planning horizon to age 100 and build up savings for the later years first. I project my current savings will cover ages 99-68. At some point the lower end will equal my age and I will feel comfortable pulling the plug ….if I want.
