Hello I am 60 and im looking to move to florida. I currently live in CT which i love but the taxes are high. How affordable is florida? specifically the jacksonville area. Im hoping the forum can help me with some property tax questions and savings.

According to Bankrate.com's cost of living calculator, Jacksonville Florida is ~ 20% cheaper than New Haven CT.
If you move outside the city (to Yulee for instance) then it gets a bit cheaper in general. Traffic was pretty decent when I lived north of Jax (moved up here 8 years ago). Any specific questions you have about the area?
