Settling in taiwan
Hi, everyone!
I am a 61-year-old American citizen, university graduate, who has worked in Saudi Arabia for about 29 years. I'd like to settle in Taiwan.
Does anyone have tips on settling in Taiwan, other than marrying a Taiwanese lady?
Thanks for any information.
Martin

Thanks for your prompt reply to my initial message on the forum.
I hope to study Chinese calligraphy at a RELAXED pace while enjoying the beautiful scenery, warm weather and warm people. I suspect it will require obtaining a work permit as Taiwan doesn't seem to have "retirement visas" for Americans, like Thailand and the Philippines.
Do you have any further information?
Thanks for whatever you can give.

I have no info. but look forward to hearing about your experiences. Interesting about calligraphy, I can never guess what people will say about their lives and future plans. Are you technically retired?
