Hey everyone,
Glad to be new here. What type of music do you all listen to? I'm sure there are many different genres. I listen to Classical. It seems to de-stress my busy life. haha. I probably listen to Andrea Bocelli more than anything. I got my hands on his new cd from UMVD and found something i didnt expect, a duet with Stevie Wonder. What do you think? i dont know... check him out. AndreaBocelli.com. I also love the other Two Tenors

Re: Andrea Bocelli

I had the pleasure of attending a Boccelli concert that's going to be broadcast on PBS in March during sweeps week. He performed a number of more modern songs, including one Elvis Presley number.

I am so jealous that you have his new CD already--it won't be in stores here until next week.

As for other music, I listen to a fair amount of pop, country, and classical - depends on my mood and which CDs happen to be in the car at the time (currently, Meat Loaf and Clint Black, with leftover Trans Siberian Orchestra from Christmas).

Tangent...

Meatloaf did one of the best "Star-Spangled Banner" renditions I've ever heard at the World Series in '94?

Re: Andrea Bocelli

Stanley Clarke and Mr. Billy Cobham "Live at the Greek"

Jazz.

Re: Andrea Bocelli

I'm unclear as to who the vocalist is or what the name of the compilation is, but it includes 'mary has a little lamb' and 'the wheels on the bus go round and round'.

Re: Andrea Bocelli

Then i'm gonna go get that version and play it 945 times a day when Gabe turns 14.

Do you know if this is available on disc anywhere? I'm off to google.

Its still going to go down as good spam if I ever find a hendrix rendition of 'mary had a little lamb' or 'the wheels on the bus go round and round.'

I'm not sure about the little lamb tune, but I think he did the wheels on the bus at Woodstock. Or was I halucinating that?

Hmmmm

I would like a decent recording of - Red Necks , White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer.

And whoever - did the one with the line - I loved her but she done me wrong so I threw her down the open pit mine in Prescot Arizona.

Anything past the Beach Boys I endure as background noise.

She wore a yellow ribbon from the John Wayne movie brings a tear to my eye.

Linda Rondstat, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, the Eagles are rookies - in another decade I might decide they are ok.

I refuse to have the radio on when I drive.

heh heh heh
