Britians version of Hollywood

I acknowledge I am an absolute cynic. I disdain Hollywood actors for their lifestyles and beliefs, yet I enjoy their ability to transcend me to a different place via their acting ability. Having said that, wondering if British actors have a Holliwood
equivilant where the general population might find them hanging out.

Manchester has a lot of movie sets and we did run into British celebrities there. I had no idea who these people were, I don't follow British celebrities.
