An 81 yr old Florida man was out boating when a 3' wide stingray burst from the water and pierced his heart with a 2.5" barb. It entered the left side, pierced the septum and bored through the right side. He was able to navigate to land and call 911. After 5 hours of surgery, he apparently survived. And I thought a diving pelican pinning me to my board with his bill was my main worry from the air!
