I retired at 35 after selling my business. I'm going to be writing an article (or, if it gets interesting enough, a book) about people who have retired on their own resources before the age of 40. For the time being, you can remain anonymous to the public if necessary/desired.
If you FIRE'd before age 40 on your own resources (inheritance/lottery winners unfortunately do not meet the criteria of the article), please DM me or feel free to post in this thread. I'd love to hear your story (details are great) and then I'll contact you as soon as I have enough people to start delving into the actual point of the article -- what traits, chemical imbalances, backgrounds, etc lead us to not only amass enough resources to retire early but to also have the courage to quit w*rk well before it is social acceptable.
