I've been to a few movies recently and come to the conclusion that many use the same technique to appear to be smart. Basically, they appear to let the audience an inside seat into the plot but the movie does not show the key point.
Here are the spoilers:
1 - Shooter - at the end of the movie the main character is freed because he swaps out the firing pin on the gun he is accused of using to kill someone - it couldn't fire so he couldn't have done it.
2. Fracture - at the end of the movie we find out that the main character is convicted because we find out that he swapped out the gun used to kill his wife
3. Ocean's 13 - at the end of the movie we find out that fake diamonds were swapped out for the real ones and Ocean wins again - yhea!
Man, do I feel ripped off.
