New tires are over 2 years old!

First time this has ever happened. Wheel Works. Purchased 4 tires. Came home. 3 tires mfg. 2016, week 22. 4th tire. 2016, week 36.
My plan: 1. Ask for 4 replacement tires. 2. If they refuse. Ask for 1/3 $ refund. 3. If they refuse. Dispute the charge on my credit card.

This is based on, current information. At 6 years, tires should be replaced.
Age does matter. ie. rubber drys out, etc. I've already used up 2 years.

Been a customer probably over 30+ years. Will see if they have any goodwill.
:(

I agree with you. They shouldn't be selling "new" tires that are already 2 years old. If I'm paying for new tires, I want new tires. Let us know how this turns out. I always check the manufacture date of the tires I buy. The last set I bought (Michelins) were only a couple months old when I got them, so I was satisfied.

I have a car which I put 1400 set of 4 tires on. Very low mileage but drive it atleast once a month. At 6 years they had severe cracking on sidewalks from age and sun.

Best to get fresh tires!
