I found the attachment funny, entertaining and educational. I like the presentation by the energetic cub reported and the solution by the "gentelmanly" British scholar. The 1st link is the question and the 2nd the solution. (For some reason, the 1st link shows in duplicate so skip the middle one). Hint: if you are like me it's counter-intuitive.

I've seen this done before, by the Slow Mo Guys. It was not counterintuitive to me, because when a slinky falls, it ends up oriented properly. If the lower end hit the ground first, one would expect it to be all over the place.

Actually the Prof is Australian and they are at the University of Sydney.
