Terrible Action by Target

Different prices are becoming common enough that we always check. Last week we stayed in a hotel for a week, three different nightly rates depending on demand, $109, $154, and $202/night. I stayed in Vegas on business a few years ago and when I got the statement checking out the rate was different every day!

Gasoline prices change almost daily. Air fares vary all over the place. It’s not uncommon to find a variety of prices for the exact same item online or in stores on any given day.

Yesterday I bought an HP ink cartridge at Office Max because I saw it online at $31.89. I stop by the store and the shelf price is $35.99. I take it to the register and show them their online price on my iPhone, they match without blinking. Do they do that for customers who don’t ask? I doubt it.
