Water Fountain for Pets

I tried 3 different water fountains/water falls and none of my 3 cats were interested. That was about $150 wasted. Everyone of the fountains were a pain in the neck to clean and replace the charcoal filters. Instead we have 3 large ceramic bowls set around the house that they use. Much easier and more sanitary to clean and refill. One of the cats still likes to drink from a faucet in the morning. Go figure.

Cheers!

Basically it’s a link to a recent magazine article “Best Cat Water Fountains to Keep Your Cat Healthy, Happy and Hydrated”

We have 2 Cat Mate fountains (one upstairs, one downstairs) for our 2 kitties and they love it. We do have to clean them but we will clean one at a time so the other is always available.

Hydration is so important to the king term health of indoor cats, especially if they are fed dry kibble instead of wet food. Most outdoor cats get most of their hydration from their prey, so cats don't have a strong thirst drive like dogs.

The fountains with moving water definitely encourages our two furry overlords to drink regularly so we can continue to serve them :)
