One is a laptop I have, one is on a laptop coming soon....here's the data;

1 Intel Core 2 DuoT5800 800mhz FSB 2MB (l2/l3 cache)

2* AMD Athlon II M320 3200 (FSB) 1MB (l2/l3 cache) 2

Probably, for once, the AMD. 800Mhz vs 3.2 Ghz. I didn't even know dual cores could go as low as 800, the smallest I've ever seen was 1.5Ghz, and that was about 4 years ago when dual cores were just coming out.

im confused tho...the actual processors are comparable at 2.1 ghz for amd to 2.0 for the intel.

the cache being 1mb vs 2mb for the amd vs intel seems to be a bif difF? but then again i dont understand it

According to this site, their benchmark scores are about the same:

PassMark Software - CPU Benchmarks - List of Benchmarked CPUs

Intel Core2 Duo T5800 @ 2.00GHz -1157

AMD Athlon II Dual-Core M320 -1197

The 800MHz is the Front Side Bus speed (memory bus), not the CPU clock.

And according to this site:

Notebookcheck: Mobile Processors - Benchmarklist

also similar benchmarks, and both at 35 Watts.
