Thanks; I might try that. OTOH I still have access to all that via my old MegaCorp's 401k login, that being the MegaCorp I left in 2015 to join another MegaCorp which I retired from 18 months later. But hey, it still works!

FYI - Just got the $750 bonus for this. Pulled most money out and will keep the account open (but idle) for a while.

Now looking for another opportunity...

Do you know if this offer is still available since you posted about it in June? Sounds like a great deal for my wife’s consulting business to take advantage of! Thanks.

I forgot to mention my conversation with TD Bank about whether my direct deposits satisfied the requirement. I set up monthly ACH transfers from my 401k to my new TD Bank checking. The direct deposit requirement description is a bit gray so I wasn’t sure if these would be acceptable. Apparently they are but it’ll take another month to reach 140 days. Then I’ll need to maintain $2500 minimum for a total of 6 months to avoid fees.

TD Bank finally paid $300 bonus. They said I did not qualify at first because the spelling of my name on the promo flyer was inaccurate. So they cleared that up but they were not very responsive to the secure message feature on the Mobil app. I don’t need this account and I’m not satisfied with the customer service.

Not sure but a quick search on doctor of credit website will tell you that answer I believe.

Hey, I just got a new referral deal from Marcus. If you use the link I have (pm me for link if you like) you get another 0.5% on top of their 0.5% rate, plus you still get the 0.1% for AARP, so total 1.1% Money Market for 3 months. Each referral you do from then gets you another 3 months. Please PM me for the link if you do not have a Marcus account. Past holders not eligible. I hope I get a few folks signed up!!!

I just came here to post the Marcus referral bonus. I feel cheated….I just got the current bonus offer today 9/16. Guess I’ll finally get off my butt and open account for DW. My AARP and prior referral bonuses just expired. Doubling the rate is impressive but it’s only 3 months so not really a big deal.

I guess that I don't see the attraction for 3 months... just get a GM RightNote and get 1.5% or Toyota IncomeDriver Notes at 1.35%... the incremental credit risk for 3 months is negligible.

I get your point. The attraction is FDIC coverage. Lack of FDIC is not negligible for a portion of my FI. Marcus is my accumulation account for my massive property tax payments that I can easily pay via ACH from an FDIC bank. A non bank account might take an additional step. The bonus is a reward for something I’m gonna do anyway. I’m still a fan of the corporate note programs though I don’t hold any at the moment.

Thanks for sharing. I looked at Ally, to retain the bonus must park the funds for nearly a year. But $25K gives you $250, a 1% return in addition to whatever one chooses to invest in (+/-),

This is an easy $100 if you already have a Fidelity account. I didn't have a roth there so opened one and will get $100 into a Roth. The form to open an account was pre-filled out with most of my info (maybe because I was logged in in another tab). I transferred some shares in kind from a TDA roth. I did have to upload a recent TDA statement. They have a link to click on to get transfer status, and everything is looking good. And no phone call required.

Here's one disadvantage to T-Mobile Money (currently 1% interest).

The automated transfer process most of us use is limited to $3000 at a time. So, if moving large amounts of money around quickly is a priority, other methods (like wire) will have to be used.

Here's another disadvantage... you can't set up a beneficiary.

To get around this just initiate the transfer from the other side.

+1.

That’s what I did and it works fine. It’s quick too. Money is transferred by the next day.

I got my first interest deposit at TMobile yesterday. Much better than the HYS account I had before.

I initiate those transfers from my broker, E*Trade. Daily limit 100k. No monthly limit.

Also, these levels are not the final word. Find the highest fee level from any brokerage and then ask your favorite brokerage to match it.

Also, I have found they cover transfer fees in addition to paying incentives, at least at E*Trade.

Interesting that TD is even recruiting new clients (bought out by Schwab). You can't even invest in their robo-advising products, as they are slowly shutting down as they migrate to Schwab.

That does look easy and the terms seem to have no gotchas. Not only that but they will give you the $100 bonus even if you only deposit $50 to open the account. Pretty good initial return:LOL:

Wells Fargo is offering for $200 for opening a checking account with a $1000 or more direct deposit and $300 for a saving account with a minimum balance of $25K. Thoughts?

We just got a Chase Freedom Unlimited Card, $200 rebate after $500 charges after 3 Months. Added Benefit is it added $25k to our Credit Ceiling. No issues at all, just had to unfreeze our Experian for a day. According to Credit Karma our credit did not budge.

Might not be bad if doing both, depending how long you have to tie up the money. Other than the bonus you probably earn close to nothing on those.

But if I wanted a new national bank account that might make it more compelling.

I got a Wells Fargo "Dear Resident" offer in the mail except in my location they are offering $400 for a direct deposit of $1k+ and $25K balance. I hope I qualify as a new customer because I did take advantage of another bonus offer of theirs well over a year ago and then closed the accounts upon receiving the bonus. Between having 2 different pensions and some lliquid cash around, these types of bonuses have netting me and my wife a nice chunk of change the last several years.
