Retirees are too frugal!

We keep our vehicles for quite a while. Up until Thursday they were a 2001 Lexus RX 300 with 220k miles, a 2004 Ford Expedition with 190k miles and a 2010 Lexus HS 250h with 118k miles. Only the HS was bought used. Thursday we traded the Expedition in on a new 2017 Lexus RX 350, luxury edition ($58k). We figured since we’ll probably have it for another 15 years, may as well buy new and be nice and comfy as well.

Yeah, we maybe tend to live too frugally. Currently struggling to pull the trigger on replacing our 1996 Saturn. Planning to share ownership of a Prius Prime plug-in hybrid with our daughter. But the Saturn still runs ok, although cosmetically a wreck, but it doesn't quite fit the need any more. Old frugal habits die hard.
