Checking Browser Before Accessing Early Retire Web Site Message

Just curious about this message, see screen shot below.
This just started a couple of days ago.
Is this normal?
It may be related to our location in Eket, Nigeria?

Yes, I'm sure it is, but probably nothing for you to worry about.
Cloudflare is the service that transmits the forum, so that's legit.
It says it's looking for a ddos attacker, which is quite likely to come from Nigeria. So it's checking any attempted login from there, and when it finds that you're clean it permits the login. I wasn't aware it did that, but it makes me feel good that it does.

Braumeister,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Might be a new feature as we have been in Nigeria since 2012 and Africa since 2003 and this was a new thing. I was abit concerned it might be a problem. Glad to hear it is all good and correct.

Thanks, gamboolman......

You should expect to continue to seeing the cloudflare message. we use the cloudflare service to reduce spam and denial of service attacks and also occasionally to meter regular traffic to our servers when load is high.

Some countries (like Nigeria) have an usually large contingent of spam farms and so traffic from these areas garners unusual scrutiny by cloudflare. If you ever find you cannot login at all, hit the contact link on the bottom of the page to reach the help desk.
