You can't.
If there was no time limit on editing a post then members could make threads incomprehensible by going back much later and editing and/or deleting a post that had been replied to, but not quoted.

I was wondering about that. I was looking all over this site to find the edit function that I would see at the bottom of my post. It wasn't a big deal I just wanted to correct my English. I would leave out a to or the something stupid. I think my problem is due to lazy texting. I take more time in the preview post section now.
Bottom line who cares I'm retired.
