One time a moderator PM'd me to apologize for possibly having offended me (which they hadn't, even remotely). Then I started worrying about what *I* could have said that made it sound like I was offended. Then I PMd the moderator to assure them I wasn't offended. Later, I busted up laughing at my silly self.

All this talk about these two characters really piqued my curiosity. If their old posts are still here, one of these days I will search for and read them to see what the ruckus was all about.
As mentioned repeatedly, this is still the first and only forum I frequent, leave alone post to; it has been obvious to anyone else, but I find it amusing that the Internet is media for dramas, intrigues, and gossip among a virtual community. Quite an interesting human interaction experience that I have been missing all these years.

Re: Rodney King
Last fall he was one of the "celebrities" on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab", a show that follows people who used to be famous but who are now drunks and drug addicts. His bio is here -
Celebrity Rehab 2 with Dr. Drew | Cast Bios | VH1.com
Scroll down, he's the 5th one. He did really well in rehab and moved on to another show, "Sober House" which follows successfully rehabilitated folks from the first show as they learn to live in a "Sober House".
I watched Celebrity Rehab and it turns out that he was one of the more decent folks on that show. He was intelligent and caring and polite and quite gentle. Followed all the rules, too, which not all the patients manage to do. He was determined to turn his life around and get back to being close to his family.

So we're not debating the labeling of the contents, only the quality and the expiration dates?

Yes, me, too. Maybe when I start having a beer or two after my exam, I'll even drop by and do a forum version of the drunk dial to profess my undying love for all of you.

I've had posts deleted and had to issue public apologies on various forums. Unless there is some threat involved, I don't sweat it.
