Where'd you find a copy of my personal food pyramid? I guess no amount of cycling will get the weight off until I move to a more sensible one......:(
Hints...
Light beer
2 slices of pizza instead of 4, mushrooms or peppers instead of sausage and pepperoni, skip the extra cheese, etc
Fast food...choose their "healthy" choices along with less frequent stops
yadda yadda yadda ;)

Example: I had a chicken burrito from the TB Fresca menu the other day which was fabulous. Only one. :D

Now at 9 weeks in range. Mini-goal is to beat my 10 week run I achieved in the summer of 2009, but I'm skating on thin ice at present, particularly with my birthday this week and a couple of outings to restaurants planned. I thought I had done really well this week with eating and exercising, but still put on a half pound :mad:

I am still the same weight which is good news and bad news . I would like to lose five more pounds as soon as I get motivated .
 
2/9 - 191, back heading in the right direction. goal for mid summer is around 175

2/16 - 187, now the battle really begins. 185 was a huge sticking point when I moved from power-lifting to racing. I keep telling myself that it's going to be much easier to lose fat than it was trying to drop the upper body muscle......:whistle:

I remember one time when I was home visiting my folks. My mom asked me to set the table for dinner. I opened the refrigerator and taped to the inside of the door was a risque picture of a lovely, slender, perfectly built, but scantily clad young woman. “Mom, what’s this?" I asked. "Oh, I put that up there to remind me not to overeat," she answered. "Is it working?" I asked. "Yes and no," she explained. "I’ve lost 15 pounds, but your dad has gained 20!"

Only dropped 1.6 lbs this past week. Was hoping to be 190 by March 8 when we head out to snow ski in Colorado, but doesn't look likely.

Haven't been on this thread for a while, maybe it's time to rejoin. Weight crept up from 230 ish to nearly 255 last spring. I had been running off and on...mostly off, a little on, due to calf pain after almost every run. Got better shoes in late March, less pain. Started tweaking my running program up a bit. Turned on the heat in September when we were in Hawaii (I really love getting a morning run along - not on- the beach as the sun comes up). Lost 30 pounds between March and October, roughly. Turn it up a notch again from November, and have been running 25 miles per week (some weeks more, some a little less), but holiday eating boosted my weight a little and I've finally got it back down to about 225...and I'm stuck here it seems. I must be eating more, because the 350 miles I have run since November "should" equate to another 17 pounds lost.

Oh well, I feel healthier, and I guess I better watch what I eat a little closer, otherwise I'll just keep pounding my knees into powder for no good reason.

It's all muscle I tell ya! On a positive note, I am once again wearing size 34 waist pants. Has been a few years since that was possible.
