Well, we all know and love our own Rich in Tampa, and by his manner and style believe he is a very good adovate for his patients.

A recent study, published in the NEJM says that hospitalists save $$ and have the same outcomes as the patient's primary physician. (I would have thought outcomes would be better, but that is for another detailed discussion of the "methods" world of research).

For those of you who wonder what he does, the attached news article summarizes the study, the role of hospitalists and the debate in the medical community and among patient advocates on the pros and cons of this role.

I, for one, would be grateful to have RIT looking out for me.
