I've had rosacea on my cheeks and nose for many years. Occasionally severe, but mostly moderate. Three different physicians, one a dermatologist, have told me there is nothing that can be done about it, so I've just put up with it. Annoying, but hardly dangerous. I sometimes worried that people might think it was a sign of excessive alcohol consumption (I'm a very moderate drinker).
But a couple of months ago I had some surgery and had to spend a night in the hospital. They pumped me really full of antibiotics, and when I got home I noticed the rosacea was gone. Still hasn't come back after two months and I'm just delighted about it. So whatever the cause, the drugs apparently took care of it.
Anyone else have an experience like this?
