When I want to experience Texas country music music, I just make a trip to Nashville--2 hrs. north.

Most of the good groups and musicians commute to Nashville for music and business reasons. And they'll always perform while they're in town.

Thanks for the article. Definitely some interesting places to see the next time we're in Texas. We've been to some of those locations and seen some of the performers mentioned and there's still lots to see and do. Texas - it's like a whole 'nother country!
