While reading this article about eminent job losses, I couldn't help but wonder what implications the merger has for other industries.

With the expected thousands of layoffs on both companies, it does have a direct impact on Central Florida. Walt Disney World is the largest employer and companies that have a direct or indirect relationship business with Disney will also be affected. When belts have to be tightened and budgets cut, these Disney partners feel the effects also. Tourism which is one of the lowest paid industries is the #1 industry in Florida.
