New CRS Report - Social Security: Estimated Impact of Hypothetical Solvency Measures

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) just released a new report titled: “Social Security: Estimated Impact of Hypothetical Solvency Measures”.

I haven’t had a chance to go through it, but I think some ER users would be interested in checking it out.

Note that the CRS is non partisan and does a lot of leg work to flesh out what all the good ideas in Congress will mean for future budgets. I think the fact that they are looking at the SS solvency issue is positive.

This is the first CRS report over 12 pages Ive seen. At 56 pages it looks like a thorough report.

Edit to add: the CRS report looks at the 4 solvency options covered in the trustee report and estimates how each would impact different demographic groups. Interesting, and very much if interest to our community.
