Old School

In your journey to be FIRE or after, have you found a preference for something old school again? Say a coffee pot with only an on/off switch, bar soap over soft, washing a car by hand.

All 3 of those...
The coffee pot because I want to have fresh coffee, so if I get up early I'd turn it on anyhow, and if I sleep in I still want fresh coffee, so I want it to start then.

Washing the car by hand, means I can find all the nicks and scratches.

Bar soap as it's easy..

I've started wanting to roast in the oven more, long slow roasting, never had time before.

Car radios with knobs and buttons instead of "infotainment" screens.

60's music instead of rap and hiphop

Phone calls instead of texts

I prefer knobs and buttons to touchscreens everywhere. Never got why kitchen ovens started with touch controls.

I do have a smartphone but would love one two-three times as thick so that it came with a decent battery life.

Love that I can change the head bulbs of my motorhome myself. On my car I don't even try.

2. I enjoy listening to College Basketball games from my Alma Mater on AM Radio. Fortunately, it is on Tune - In. The play by play broadcaster has been calling the games for over 40 years. In fact, I went to grade school with his daughter.
