I was feeling nervous until submitting my resignation and now I'm nothing but smiles. My last day is 4/15/16.

The house has been on the market for about a week now and we're already getting nibbles.

We're off to mid-coast Maine. Some folks think we're nuts for heading north but it's beautiful there and we've enjoyed vacationing on the Penobscot bay for ever.

Met with the Fidelity advisor yesterday to get things ready for rollover. In general finances look pretty good.

DW is going to continue to work from home at least through my transition.

I think we'll be fine.

Congratulations! Retirement has been the best part of my life..BY FAR!

Congrats. Acadia is on my visit list. Hoping to join you in RE in about a year.

Congratulations! I'm one of the weirdos who can understand the draw of Mid-Coast Maine. Lived Down East for 3 years during my working years. Lived in VT for 8 years in retirement and am now on the MA South Shore. (I could, however, do without the 2 snowstorms we've had this April.)

Congratulations. We retired january1st and it still feels like an extended vacation. You are gonna love it. We moved north also, but to south western Michigan by the lake.

Thanks all for the well wishes.. If you've heard of the "Humble Farmer"... we're just a few mile south along route 131. Neighbors there were pummeled by the record snowfalls of two winters ago.. In fact, facial grimaces and tightened muscles are still common when the subject comes up in conversation... Summers there are bright and trend slightly cooler than what we get here in NJ. I'm very grateful.

Congratulations. Welcome to what will be the best time of your life.

Congratulations. And welcome to the fun!

Congratulations Keegs. :)
Hope to join you around this time next year.

Welcome to the pristine clean air and breathtaking scenery of the Maine coast.

We vacationed in Maine last year - spent 3 days on the east side of Penobscot Bay. Beautiful area. I could see living there (if not for the winters).

Enjoy!

Congratulations, DW and I are booked for flight to Bangor in August. First trip to Maine for both of us.

Welcome to the pristine clean air and breathtaking scenery of the Maine coast.

I'm usually out and about early with the dog and oftentimes hear the lobster boats setting out for the morning... put . put . put . put ..

And I love it when a cool fog rolls in over a warm summer afternoon.

Congratulations on your life transition. I find Camden, Maine about as nice of a place as I'd ever want to live in--for the Spring/Summer/Fall.

It's just a tough place for weather in Winter--that's all.

Welcome to your new full time job...the pay sucks but the benefits are unbelievable, and you can drink at work and don't have to wear shoes

Congratulations! DH and I have The coastal areas of Maine at the top of our travel list. He retires next month.
Enjoy your new life!

Maine sounds great. Enjoy it! (And if you get cold in the winter, I bet you saved a few dollars for some vacations to warm weather places)

Congratulations, Keegs. The young wife and I have rented the same house in Damariscotta for two weeks each of the last 15 summers. We have been talking about moving up there after we retire in 3 more years.
