What is your Fountain of Youth routine ?

In addition to the exercise and multivitamin, I eat a lot of raw vegetables (not intentionally a "raw diet", I just love them), take additional C, lutein, and CoQ10, and keep my stress very low to nil (I actually like my j*b, and w*rk for people that encourage flex time, telework, and w*rk/life balance).

I hardly ever get sick either. When my partner and child recently got colds at the same time (just in time for the start of school and return to work after vacation!), I either avoided it or fought it off (I did feel unusually tired one night and went to bed a bit early, then was fine in the morning).

(I'm starting to think that maybe I overrely on parentheticals...)

I try to eat more vegetables, avoid hydrogenated oil/polyunsaturated fats/fructose corn syrup, exercise, get enough sleep, etc, etc.

I have pretty good genes, but try to keep thin and healthy by eating right. We don't eat out much, and have cut out processed foods as much as we can, and not many carbs. I keep a garden and we eat fresh vegetables. Wear sunscreen, don't drink sodas or any sweetened drinks-exercise when I can.

I forgot to mention that I eat low carb and a lot of nuts, mostly almonds and pecans? Make me think of the almond bar commercial, “ sometime you feel like a nut, sometime you don’t”, haha.

Not a routine for us but--- we live in and are renovating a 3 story Victorian. Its 45 stairs from the basement to the 3rd floor. Lot of ups and downs while doing a project.

My three-season gig as a guide (river and bicycle) has made me feel younger. Being outside doing physical activity, keeping an upbeat attitude with the guests, and being around the youngsters who work with me are all good things.

Daily - as in fixed 8 hour eating window, or a fast of x days after some interval of non-fast days? How long have you been doing it?
One meal per day most (maybe 5 of 7) days. Kind of a long "meal" in that I start cooking at maybe 5:30 and snack along the way. Usually done eating by 8:30. If I'm not sedentary that day, I'll have a more substantial snack earlier, like maybe at 2:30. I've been doing it for about a year. My feeding window is more hours when I'm traveling, but that's driven by social pressures. At home, I will occasionally skip a dinner, which yields a 40 hour fast, but that's quite uncomfortable, whereas the 20 hour fast doesn't usually bother me. I really like to just put lots of good food in front of myself and eat unlimited quantities of everything that tastes good.

I simply tell people that I'm 30 years older than my actual age.

Exercise 5X/week. Take all of those damn pills that they doc says will help me live a long time. Question the doc each visit on why do I still have to still keep taking all of those damn pills. Sensible diet. Consume top-shelf liquor and craft beer in safe quantities. Some other crap that I can not recall.

Perhaps memory pills.:greetings10:

- Eat mostly whole foods (veggies from my garden, farm eggs, grass-fed beef and lamb, venison, fish), minimize or eliminate highly processed foods (especially things made from wheat flour)

-no trans-fats, jug oils, anything with high-fructose corn syrup, minimize any foods with added sugar

- daily exercise (brisk walking), plus some weightlifting and squats every 2-3 days

- I take some supplements to hopefully slow down the aging process and provide some protection against cancer and other diseases: turmeric, astaxanthin, magnesium, cod liver oil, vitamin D, vitamin K2, baby aspirin

-daily couple glasses of red wine

I eat a lot of vegies and fruit. Every morning bowl of oatmeal with flax seed, wild berry, banana, raisins and honey.

It has been a ritual I have done for many years. I have no idea if it will have any effect on Fountain of Youth.

I also try to get a lot of exercise.
