Give me a museum and I'll fill it. (Picasso) Give me a forum ...
I have found it good for selling stuff. Slow but most stuff sells.
Also picked up something for free from it.

It can be very useful if you lose your dog. Otherwise not so much.

How does one LOSE a dog?
I don’t use my real name on any social media site, not even the ones that say you have to. And I’ve never been confronted or challenged on it because I use names they can’t know are false…
Nice! Although many sites really want you to use a Google or Facebook login because they get more information about you that way, most sites have somewhere (in tiny print) a link that says "sign in/up with email", which means you do not have to link a social media account. (You can probably tell, but I avoid connecting accounts for privacy reasons; I just use LastPass to keep track of all my different logins.)Yep, I don't personally have any social media accounts but since many sites now require them to post comments I took over a dead relative's accounts.
They have become unusually opinionated since their demise.
There have been so many snake bites in my area lately that the large ER had used all theirs and were temporarily out so they had to find some elsewhere. Why is it so costly?
Cats, I can see as they would leave for a better deal. But dogs, not so much, especially if they have been housed for a while.
Our Golden Retriever (now passed) used to be an "escape artist" and ran on every opportunity, but when he got hungry, he would be back at the front door.
I am a moderator for our local next-door. Like all Forums (including this one) there are some off the wall posters but I do think that next-door performs a valuable service. It is a quick way for the local government and police to get information out to people in the neighborhood. It is a good way to get recommendations, to buy and sale, to find an apartment, to find lost things and pets. Just recently I found some keys on the sidewalk in front of my house and I was able to find the owner through next-door.
This aligns pretty well with my experience. I did not realized there were moderators. It’s gone way downhill but still overall positive for me. It’s easy to avoid the whack jobs. I don’t get any emails and I only open the app a few times per month mostly to see if anyone has junk to sell or give away.
Here is exburbia, everytime someone sees a coyote, there is an extended discussion over how dangerous they are or are not. We had a whole den with pups in the next lot over and other than some poop and howling along with sirens, they are really no bother.........We have fox, coyote, bob cats, and even a mountain lion that have come in for water. .........

Currently having a chuckle about ppl upset with poop on sidewalk. Poster doesn't know why dog owners don't pick it all up BUT it's not dog!! We have fox, coyote, bob cats, and even a mountain lion that have come in for water. Yes, there's dogs but unless they poop bones you're just as capable as picking up after them.
What is worse for me is that people of color are automatically evil doers and cries of call the police are posted multiple times. My son, who is a person of color AND an attorney, had the police called him because he was jogging at dusk. I live in the south now, but really.
This is one example of egregious abuse that things like Next Door encourage. People have always done stupid and dangerous things, but now social media gives them an instant "megaphone."
