Well Jay Powell raised rates another 1/4 point today and suggested there will be more increases and rates will stay up for some time (at least thru YE)... So from my POV, how many more increases, how much more and how long they will be maintained are still the questions?
So, I expect CD's will head up sightly in the coming weeks and the inversion will remain but "may" start to flatten on the longer terms. (maybe) I think we will see 5% for 9 to 18mo CD's to become common pretty soon. YMMV
Ally raised their savings account from 3.3% to 3.4%
Make sure you don't have any ad blocking or site blocking enabled and try it.I was trying to buy a new issue CD on Fidelity, and the screen let me click on 'preview order' but nothing happens. No error message. Just the same screen again. Got out of the screen, reselected my CD and entered everything the screen asked for, clicked 'preview order' and the same thing happens. Stuck in this screen with no error message.
I'm using a brokerage link, if that makes any difference. All clues welcomed.

I figured it would be a few more weeks before we started seeing 5% CD's (after the Fed's 1/4 point rate increase yesterday) so I'm not too surprised.
Good info.

I expect SWVXX to approach 4.5% over the next week or so if past behavior following Fed rate hikes continues.Jump in 7-day yields:

Fidelity:
SPAXX was 3.95%, now 4.02%
FZDXX was 4.29%, now 4.33%
FZCXX was 4.05%, now 4.12%

Looks interesting but I'm skeptical. Their mission page says:Wow! I just stumbled onto this. it has me re-thinking my plans to consolidate. It seems they have B&Ms nearby. Even though this deal is for an online account I may go check them out. Anyone have experience with this outfit?
