What is the last thing you ordered from Amazon?

For month of July:

6 bike tire tubes (it's been a rough month)
Patio water hose (nothing at Home Depot)
replacement handle for outside water faucet (nothing available locally)
portable charger (iphone & Android) for travel

Hardwire kit for my dashcam. Now when I'm parked, it takes 1 shot per second. The videos are fun to watch. Of course, the idea is to capture vandals, or give the video to the police if a crime occurs. Maybe I've watched too many episodes of "See No Evil". Amazing what tiny and fuzzy details the cops can use if they are investigating a serious crime.

3' by 5' flags (US and State) for outside. I need to replace them about every 6mos.

new Bona mop, other one broke at the swivel head.
sox

New gear-driven rear wheels for "DW's lawn mower". This is an old Lawn Boy mower that we bought for her use at her father's house before he moved. Once in a blue moon here she will use it to mow when I'm not mowing frequently enough to her satisfaction, such as when I'm engaged in a painting project. Anyway, the last time she wanted to use it the self-propelled system stopped self-propelling and examination revealed worn-out plastic gears on the wheels.

I tried ordering from another specialty site that has performed well in the past but three weeks after ordering they still hadn't shipped so I canceled that order and bought them from Amazon. They're supposed to arrive today.

Edit to add:

They arrived about 20 minutes after the original post, and fit perfectly. Unfortunately DW is not in the mood today to mow grass so I guess I'll have to do it.

What's with the annoying little sign that twitches every 3 seconds and is very annoying?
Does it go away if you log in to your account? edit to add: just tried Ebay and the stupid thing is there too!

Do you need something extra to make it take pics every second? I assumed the camera came set up to do various kinds of photog/video. I'm thinking of getting such a camera as my car has been hit twice in our parking structure! How do you do that?

Google is your friend, my man. And Utube.

I'm not necessarily vouching for this model to be The Best Dashcam Ever or anything, but I have a "ROVE R2-4K PRO Dash Cam, Built-in GPS, 5G WiFi Dash Camera" that lists for $129 on Amazon. I added a "hardwire" kit to it so it has power while parked.

The hard part is getting the hardwire kit set up. Basically, you piggy back on 2 fuses: 1) active while in 'on', and 2) active all the time. It wasn't too bad to do, the kit (about $30) even includes a testing probe. It is more about routing the wire. No cutting or soldering, just plugging in the fuse box and piggybacking the real fuse on the adapter.

Once you get that working, I simply make one change in a settings menu. The rest was automatic. Extremely easy to set up. There are other fine settings too. If the car gets jostled, it stops doing 1 frame per second and goes live. The amount of G-force required to make this happen is configurable. This might come in handy for your parking lot. Set it to high sensitivity.

It is very cool watching time lapsed photos of the storm that came in last night.

I have 3 dash cams and I like this Rove the best. It is a very recent model and has better clarity than my other cams. The marketing material is cartoonish with primary colors, but don't let that turn you off. It is a decent cam. Get the name right otherwise you'll get older models.

I’ve been on a bit of an Amazon binge lately. Two dehumidifiers, an electric knife, refrigerator water filters, engine air filter, cabin air filter, a temperature controller for the kegerator, and an air circulation fan for the kegerator. Oh, and a new Apple Watch.

A couple of SanDisk micro SD cards. Bought about $600 worth of stuff from Amazon YTD and around $1900 last year. Not sure if Prime membership is justified. Also watched a few movies included with Prime and rented a few.

Shoelaces for my hiking boots, supposed to be made with a combination of Kevlar and nylon fibers.

A three-book trilogy by Cixin Liu, "The Three-Body Problem", "The Dark Forest" and "Death's End". I know nothing of this author and just started the first book today. It starts out a tad depressing.

But the description of the series sounded interesting and it wasn't expensive.

It’s a fascinating story and probably the best science fiction written in China.

Lego friend set, Stuffed Mama bunny with baby bunnies and a stuffed lavender bunny.

Pair of khaki pants. Turned out to be too big. Ordering the next size down.

Just now, a little candle making kit - I want to recycle some citronella candle tubs that burn down the middle and leave half the citronella wax. But that is not important.

I was on my PC and got the "delivered" email and walked out to pick up the package. The driver was still there in his car, parked beside my porch with his window cracked, so I said "thank you!". He was sitting in the driver's seat with the dome light on sorting packages. His 2 or 3 kids were in the back seat! It looked like they were sleeping for this 9:30 p.m. delivery. From my angle I could not tell if there was someone in the passenger seat (mom?). It was rainy so not real clear who was in the car, but definitely at least two kids in the back seat.

His car also had an emblem on the door that suggested it was not strictly a personal vehicle and that he has other work. I have some mixed feelings about this, but thinking about it I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up here in a few years...

My good friend's kid (24 yr old) did the Amazon delivery thing. He really liked it.

But then he had a car accident and decided to stop, to limit is driving. The accident had nothing to do with the system. Wasn't even his fault. He just realized he was exposed on the road too much.

It's getting dangerous out there. I see so many people on their phones - even as they drive. It's bad enough when they're at a stop light and don't see the change to green. Actually driving and texting is just plain crazy IMHO.

A bottle of Black Current Oil capsules for my DW. I don't know what they are for but she wanted them so.......
