    Prime Day disappointment

I didn't see much except for a dining room set I was looking at elsewhere. Normal price over $500. Amazon had it for $367 and if you got the Amazon credit card, it was another $200 off. So I got a nice mid century design set for $167 with free shipping. Very happy with the deal, but other than...

    Another Medigap Question

Yes, for me I choose by past history of rate increases and the type of increase. Since yours are all community pricing, the only other difference would be any extra benefits they offer. I went with UHC/AARP because of the free gym membership.

Should I consider purchasing the family vacation cabin?

I'd pass on it. Too many issues and it sounds like it needs money put into it and you don't have the time to really go and enjoy it, let alone take care of it. Rent a place a couple weeks a year some place where you really want to go but don't have any responsibilities to.

Better To Book Hotels Directly or A Booking Site?

I use Agoda to find hotels I am interested in, and then I will either book with the hotel directly or use a website, depending on which is cheaper. I only book with a free cancellation option. I usually find better deals by booking online.

    Basic Medicare Questions...

I used Boomer Benefits when I signed up and found them very helpful. They have videos on youtube with good information. If you delay signing up for Part D you will have penalty for the rest of your life (unless you go with an Advantage plan where you may not need it). If you don't get a...

    High calcium score and angiogram

I never had a calcium scan, but I used to have high calcium levels in my blood due to hyperparathyroidism. It can lead to depositing of calcium into the heart and other places in your body you don't want it. Have you been checked for it?

T-Mobile: Auto-Pay Discount For Bill Payment by Credit Card Ending

This is interesting. I just signed up with Tmobile today. Signed up to pay with a credit card for the $5 a month discount. Guy did not mention to me that it was going away in a couple of months. I might have to go back tomorrow and discuss it with him.

Any other long-term CA residents reconsidering their “forever home”?

Unfortunately Oregon is becoming less and less attractive to live in....the whole state is going downhill, although Portland is the worst. I've had quite a few friends move away and several more that are working on it. For the first time in my life I am seriously considering moving too. I hate...

Signing up for Medicare is a Frustrating and Expensive Process!?

I also used Boomer Benefits and sign up was a breeze. As far as billing, I have never had any problems at all. They are paid and I can look at the EOBs online.
