    Home electric power bank system

OP here...thanks for all the replies thus far. Gas/propane is not being considered for a number of reasons. Should be AC rechargable with solar option, portable, as compact as possible. Just enough power for frig, tv , fans and lamps for an 8-10 hour period before having to recharge.

    Home electric power bank system

No recent mentions on my forum searches about power banks. Looking for a battery home backup system (not gas or solar) that can deliver some power during short periods of outages. TV, fan, frig, lamps and other small appliances are only appliances that we might use, so it should be fairly...

    Credit cards- change my mind

OP here...being the dummy that I can occasionally be, I have mixed up the Amazon Prime Store card with their Visa card, thus my play falls apart.:coolsmiley: As has been pointed out: The Amazon Credit Card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, which is virtually anywhere domestically and in...

    Credit cards- change my mind

I should have been clearer. We're already getting 5% in Amazon credit on the 9k goods bought at Amazon. The additional 15k is just run through the Amazon card. The bills are just paid with their card to get the additional credit. Gas, groceries, lawn care, pest control, Netflix, Hulu...

    Credit cards- change my mind

We're on track to spend 9k this year with Amazon. At 5%= $450. I think I can easily move another 15k through their card. At 5%=750 for a total $1,100 in rewards. If I have the same number run through CITI at 2% my rewards would be $480. We do use Amex for the 6% on groceries but it caps at...

    Spotify

I am loving Spotify these days. Hated Amazon Music (unreliable) and Apple Music wasn’t fun to use. I went to Spotify when Joe Rogan moved his podcast to the platform. I enjoy Rogan.. YMMV. I WAS A DJ for county and rock radio from 69 to about 80, so I played a lot of music. Today, I’m...

    Embarrassing question

I'm paying a much, much smaller percentage of AUM for Vanguard Personal Adviser Services solely because my wife has zero appetite for financial matters. She will be able to talk to a live person who is familiar with our finances and goals in case of my demise.

Subaru , are they any good

On Outback #2. This one is a 2021 Touring XT with the smaller engine. Plenty fast for me. She looks great with the gold Sparco rims. Very happy owner. Had no issues with OB #1 and this one is only 6 months old.

    Golf cart batteries

I don't trust the so called reviews online, but I generally do trust the recommendations and opinions posted here. I have a 2015 E-Z Go that will be in need of new 12 volt batteries soon. Local dealer only sells Trojan. Priced $215 each, so I'm looking at $1,100. I'm open to Lithium, but...

    2 player game app?

My SIL and I have played almost 2,000 scrabble games on Words With Friends for years. We’re tired of the pop ups and in-app purchase tricks. I realize they have to make money somehow, but I would pay a small subscription fee rather than be bombarded with offers to buy tokens and trophies. WWF...

    Beginner camera question

+1... I think photography is 90% technique and inspiration and 10% equipment. I"m big into iPhone photography and have about $700 invested in lens (telephoto , macro, fisheye, anthropomorphic and wide angle) and other equipment. I like it because there are dozens of photo apps free or cheap...
