    Hot Flushes

I will soon be 56 and have not yet medically entered menopause. A few months ago I sought help for the hot flashes and my internist prescribed 75mg of Effexor. It worked alright, it worked great, but the vivid dreams were so disturbing that I stopped taking it after 10 days. I dreamed I was...

My 25 year old son aged off of our medical insurance this summer and we bought an individual policy for him thru Medical Mutual. It has a 2500 deductible and only runs us $130 a month. He graduates from college in a few short weeks and we will continue to carry it until he has it thru an...

Well, my last post went over like a lead balloon...

When my brother was in county jail in Mississippi, he said that the homeless guys would steal a six pack of beer from a convenient store in order to spend the hot summer months in air conditioning and away from the bugs.

    Ground Beef: Yummy

After buying locally raised grass-fed beef I would never go back to grocery store beef. While I am not a tree hugger by any means, I just want to know that the animals I eat were afforded the ability to walk around in the sun and eat what critters naturally eat. I am paying $4.75 a pound for 85%...

    FIRE on Spouse's Dime?

I supported the both of us, and that included the mortgage, for the four years it took my husband to get his advanced degrees so you see I do know what it is to make a mortgage. At least when I was working, my day ended at 5pm. Not so when I was home with kids.
