As RV'ers we joined a group called NOMADS (NOMADS: NOMADS) We travel in our RV across the US doing mission work that includes disaster rebuilding, working at camps, homeless shelters, etc. Very fulfilling work.
I just recently put $100k of my cash allocation into an annuity. It is guaranteed 3.25% for the first year and 2% thereafter. From day one the value of the annuity was $100k and has increased daily since. Where are the high fees that is always talked about when annuity discussions come up...
i recently put some cash in an annuity. I think annuities have changed for the better in regard to the high fees. There were no fees. The value started out with the amount that I put in and never dropped below that. The interest rate for the first year is 3.25% and guaranteed 2% there after...
We have a large fifth wheel RV and do go on long weekend trips as well as snowbirding. Setup and take down takes about 15 minutes and we share the chores. We enjoy the RV life style and travel.
You can rent a class C to try out the experience before you decide to purchase.
Working on a 1937 Studebaker pickup street rod for myself. About 90% complete. Hopefully next spring. Finishing paint on a friends '55 Chevy station wagon. Assembling a '50 Chevy pickup for a neighbor after mods and paint.
+1
These tiny homes look to be a passing fad. As stated above, an RV is much more comfortable, roomier with the slides, and much, much easier and safer to tow. Just don't understand it.
Been fully retired for almost three years. Retired at 60, went back to work part time for seven years and loved it. I liked the work I was doing and the people I worked with. Now love full time retired.
MY allocation is 40/30/30. Age 70 retired for three years. Yes, very conservative. We believe we have enough and want to minimize loses if the big one comes. With two non-cola'd pensions and SS we only need savings for extras now. Will start to need it as inflation picks up.
Yes, that is one way to remove floaters from the eye. I had a detached retina, doc removed fluid, filled partly with gas and did laser tacking. Didn't work so had surgery. So, as others have said just live with it. I had no choice since i had a detached retina first.
Thanks for your inputs. I had thought, as some of you suggested, to put everything into a document that spells it out as to where everything is, passwords, user names, and how to start some automatic withdrawals. Sounds like a good idea to take $$$ from Wellesley. I know most on this forum...
I self manage our retirement accounts as most of you all do. My wife has no real knowledge of how to manage our accounts and would not know what to do if I croak first. How have you set up investments for your spouse to begin taking income upon your demise?? When I die my pension stops so she...
I just don't get the tiny home deal. There are all kinds of RV's that have been engineered for years that are safer to tow than these top heavy trailers. As for better materials-have you been in an RV lately? My fifth wheel has some pretty good materials. Most are now coming with residential...
The new 2.0 Keurig coffee makers use label scanning technology to read the top label of the K-cups. If it's not Keurig an error message comes up and it will not brew.
