Everyone(well not everyone, but many did) said stay away from bonds, but my 2 high quality funds have done 7.5% and 6% so far this year. I have them for ballast, but it is nice to see them increase in value.

Watching mortgage rates. What happened as treasury rates dropped is that mortgage bond spreads widened. When the spreads tighten up it will probably be time to jump on mortgage money.
