A 1950s car identification test

36/48 (75%), with some goofs, and a lot of [-]guesswork[/-] deduction...

77%. At age 67 thought I would do better.

heh heh heh - oh well.

I did fairly well on the makes, but not so well on the years.

Having worked as an auto engineer, I can't imagine making such radical changes (at least in body and interior) on a yearly basis. And all with no CAD.

46/48

Since I was born in 49, someone I knew owned every one of those cars (with the possible exception of Packard). One of my friends still has a Henry J.

"You got 81% (39 right out of 48). The average score is 73%"...

What did you expect from an old phart (born in '48)...

38 right. Born in 1959, but I've been reading car magazines and fantasizing about buying an old car for years.

If I could pick any of the cars in the quiz, it would be the '51 Roadmaster convertible, hands down.

I feel really bad because I missed all four in the first question. All four! How can I explain that because I have always loved the Chevy line during the mid 50s, one of my fave.

I have not explanation except bad memory.

79%. loved those old cars. all of them are classics...and classy.

33%... and almost all were guesses...

Only a 67% for me, oh well!

I managed 45/48, or 94.5%. I know I got the '52 and '54 Mercury mixed up, but can't remember what the other goof was.

"You got 38% (18 right out of 48). The average score is 73%"

Perhaps the lowest score of all?

63%. The '56 Plymouth Savoy was easy since I owned one, and our family did have a Hudson Hornet.
