We recently made our first ever visit to Paris. Only two full days, so merely an introduction to the city. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of the Euro 2016 tournament, so not the best time to be there, but still quite an experience.
I had made some notes from comments members here had posted about Paris, and I can't remember who it was, but there was a recommendation from someone for a cafe near Notre Dame. We went there for lunch and were utterly blown away. Relatively inexpensive and unquestionably the best quiche Lorraine and chocolate mousse either of us have ever had.
Friendly service, a great location, and just a delightful experience. It certainly showcased so many reasons why people love that city. I only wish I could remember who mentioned it (I've searched to no avail).
