Anyone retire without a hsa

No HSA here. But, my retiree health insurance provides a fund that's very similar to an HSA. Megacorp puts in a chunk for both DW and me. We use a "service" to find health insurance most matched to our needs with MC. We fund our monthly insurance payments and co-pays and deductibles from the fund. So far, we're coming out just about even. IOW, we were spending about $10K of our own after-tax money per year before retirement for health care. Since Megacorp's shift to the new plan (funding our pseudo HSA) we almost always get by on what Megacorp provides. No taxes on what Megacorp puts in. I like it, but it's technically not an HSA. YMMV
