Enough of the doom and gloom for the past few months. Let's post our spring blooms and brighten up our days. Here is my first iris for this year. I love these sweet colors.

Yes indeedy. I was thinking of that saying yesterday. I don't have any photos to share, but I support this thread.

Well, not a flower, but sweet as can be, our backyard mango tree. Half the mangos in the photo are no longer there. Nothing beats fresh fruit for breakfast, :)

It doesn’t have to be a flower. If it brightens your day that’s all it needs to do [emoji1]

Our babies are just getting started, but we'll have 'maters, cukes, peppers, and more as spring turns to summer.

I like your purple columbine. I only have these pinkish red and yellow ones.

The fruit trees had tons of flowers in April over here. Last year, we had a cold snap in early May and didn't get many fruits, but this year it is looking promising.

Other flowers currently in bloom include irises, forget-me-nots and other wild flowers (the meadows are very colorful at the moment), and lilac. The latter is my favorite as it reminds me of my grandmother. I cut some and it is perfuming my whole condo.

DW says this is an Yves Piaget rose from our garden. The gourd at the far right is her work too.

With DW's flowers blooming and no where to go.. Here are a couple of my shots.
First one is an Iris. The 2nd one is a surprise bloom from the "Christmas" cactus.

Are those poppies? I've always wished I could grow them. I've tried and failed.

Another new bloom for today

This is our 27 year old Cattleya that we brought home from our honeymoon in Hawaii. It was just a small sprout when we brought it home, but it's been very hearty, adapted to the weather and seasons, and gives us beautiful blossoms once a year in the spring. This was taken a couple months ago when it was showing off.
