Can I retire or am I missing something?

Glad you have had a great year of retirement. I stay as busy as I want to and do a PT gig in the summer month's for exercise and to be around people. I don't need the money but get to work with a very young group of people and I enjoy their energy.

But of course this forum is nowhere near representative of the population as a whole.
Exactly! We are like Lake Wobegon. Everyone is strong, good looking and above average :)

Huh?

You wouldn’t think that from this forum.

This forum is not the norm. I know many people who have retired and don't know what to do with themselves or end up returning to work almost immediately just because they are depressed or bored.

I've also read numerous articles where this was an issue for people. Just a few of them below.
