Capital One interest rate 0.8% anyone ?

Today I held my nose and bought a 3 year CD from Ally at a whopping .95%. Just filling in the rungs of a 5 year ladder after thinking I knew which way interest rates were going. Still plodding along.

Thanks for posting this. I took a peek and see it’s 1.75/1.85/2.00 for tiers of 1k/10k/50k. Interesting to see these rates have not changed since at least April. Now I’m comparing this to holding the common stock which is yielding 4.7%. I would likely do both.

Hummm...I agree checking accounts are normally NO interest being paid (unless you are in a program that you actually have an annual fee)....But WHO calls .008 high? To me, unless you have a LOT of money in your checking account, that is pretty close to 0.

I have a checking acct paying 4% but only on the first 10k, anything over that is near 0%. It gives me a free 30 something bucks a month.
