Because of the pandemic, the local non-profits's annual Christmas wish tree for children has gone online.

The gift limit is $30 which is an awkward amount given that many of the children want gift cards generally Walmart or Target as one of their primary gift wish.

Do I adhere to the limit?

Since gift cards are easily lost, I was thinking of putting them in a gift card envelope and then attaching to a box of chocolates. Good idea?

I am sure any gift is appreciated.
I would be leary of food, due to possible allergies.

I am having hard time coming up with an idea of what to pair with the gift card so that it does not get lost.

Yes, adhere to the limit. There's a reason for having one.

If everyone wants gift cards, it seems unlikely that a whole stack of them will get lost. If you're concerned, you could always put it in a slightly larger box.

Surprised there is no on-line way to purchase/deliver gift cards, BUT, whenever I send gift cards, I put them in one of those small bubble pack mailers you can pick up anywhere (USPS, UPS, CVS, Walgreens, etc. etc.) It' might cost $1.50 to mail instead of $.50, but it won't get lost or mislaid.

Bless you for thinking of the kids at this time of year. Aloha
