Heck, I was in bed at 9PM. Working on getting over a bad chest cold DD brought home from daycare. DD is on another cold, so I'll probably get that one too!

12:30AM for me. I spent my night on the computer. DH went to bed before the new year. This was the first year that I did not have any kids at home since 1978. I missed them. My sister and her DH were supposed to come over, but bailed since her DH has a cold/sinus infection going on. My highlight of the evening was the video that Trombone Al posted.

Wife woke me up at 11:30 so I could ring in the New Year---stayed up until about 4:am. I'm guessing Dick Clark doesn't believe in FIRE:confused:

I have 9 month old twins. They fell asleep around 10:30 and when they sleep, I sleep. I get more sleep that way.

We watched NY Eve show live from NYC, then some of theTwilight Zone marathon until 1135. My eyelids got heavy heavy heavy, so I stretched out and fell asleep for 15+ minutes.
dh2b woke me at 1203 for HNY smooch. :D
I'm bummed I missed seeing Dick Clark and the Times Square ball drop.

We finally turned in around 6:30am.

Did I mention we're Vampires.

Seriously, our norbal (sic) bedtime is around 2-3am. For about the last year or two.

Ya didn't miss much! They showed more of the crowd than of the dropping of the ball. They kinda started showing the ball, when the countdown was already down to 19 seconds......but even most of those 19 seconds was showing the celebs and the crowd......it pretty much s*cked! We watched bits and pieces of "New Years Rockin' Eve"...and considered it to be a waste of time. Opted to watch a Sanford & Son rerun instead, and also a couple of shows on the Game Show Network. About the same could be said for the 'exciting' (NOT) festivities broadcast 'live' from Chicago...Whoopy-Ding! :duh:

Next year we'll skip ALL of the televised 'festivities, and go outside and watch the neighbors shoot off aerial pyrotechnic devices (illegal fireworks). :D

And after watching the Tournament of Roses parade last year, we had pretty much decided not to waste our time watching it this year. That was until we found out that it was going to be broadcast on RFD-TV, and hosted by Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase. This is the first year RFD-TV was broadcasting it.....and they did a marvelous job!!! You got to actually hear the bands play, instead of having to listen to the announcers talking continuously. Lorianne and Charlie gave concise info on the floats, bands, and other entries, but didn't spout a constant stream of inane drivel. It was (for the first time in years) very enjoyable to sit and watch the entire parade. A big 'thank you' to all of the RFD-TV crew!!! :D

Now if only RFD-TV would do the Times Square gig on New Year's Eve!

Nope. Was in bed by 9:00 pm. Was at work at 6:00 am New Year's Day. Hey, it paid double-time, which is ok since we never made much effort to be awake at midnight anyway as DW is a day person and usually crashes about 9:00 pm and is up by 5 or 6.

Like Goonie, we are unimpressed by the TV antics.

Walt, I am glad that you are safe after working the holiday!

We were up until 2-3 or so, had some great fireworks and loads of salty local oysters. Got the valium into the dogs early, so they didn't freak out. I still don't know whose idea the tequila shots were, but I can say that it was not me!
Glad we were all off the roads for the night and safe in the 'hood.

Hmm tequila shots..Sounds like my kind of party.

Yeah, we stayed up until 12:20, but, did doze off a couple of times before the New Year arrived. Pistachio nuts and eggnog laced with brandy--well, I don't know if they helped or hindered us making it to the New Year. Watching "Tropic Thunder" (easily the worst movie we saw all year) certainly didn't keep me awake.

We rented that Tropic Thunder. First movie in a long time I turned off halfway.

I'd be worried about how the dogs managed to open the tequila bottle, let alone pour it into those tiny little glasses...

I only watched the Dick Clark show. DW was suspicious, she thought it was because of Fergie and Pussy Cat Dolls..........she was right.........:)
