Wow. That's really old-fashioned.
Our corporate network's generic protection will stop this. Back when "ILoveYou" came out, we simply configured Windows to open .SCR files (and several other extensions) with Notepad. 10 years later, we still have no anti-virus software on the PCs, and no data lost to viruses during that time (or the 10 preceding years either).

This one is making the rounds at my MegaCorp today. I received at least 7 or 8 emails with the same title at my work email. Nope - I didn't click the imbedded link... one might think that most folks would know better than to click links in emails from people that they don't know!!
I am guessing that the folks in our technology support groups are not having a very fun day / evening (night?) as they try to get this cleaned out of the mail system and assist the ones who did click the link.
