FB friends impact credit score ?

I saw that article a day or so ago. Grandma was right - you are judged by the company you keep.

Oh geeze, I wonder if they know that I hang out here?

So glad I never joined Facebook, or Twitter.

I have zero need for social media, other than LinkedIn for purely professional reasons, but after I quit the 9-to-5 world, I'm paring my profile down to next to nothing, and changing it to "Retired".

I've read so many horror stories about people doing stupid stuff on social media, and as we all know on the Internet, once you put something out on the Internet, it never truly goes away. Some search bot has a copy of it out there somewhere.

People I run into still can't believe I'm in the IT field in Silicon Valley, and not on social media. I've actually read reports recently that here in Silicon Valley, if you DON'T have a social media presence, it can hurt you in a job search. Recruiters and prospective employers go looking for your social media presence, and when they can't find one, they wonder what's wrong with you. Glad I (hopefully) will need never to worry about that.
