Thought you might enjoy seeing how items you order on-line, may actually travel to your home. Here's how my "tracking" summary is working for an item about the size of a box of candy.
What's really funny is that it came as close as 80 miles from my house, but is now about 400 miles away.

I wonder if that was just an error, the package didn't get off at Champaign or La Grange?

I know sometimes packages take what appear to be a convoluted route, based on their stations rather than 'as the crow flies', but this looks like a mistake.

I think package shipping routes aren't really based on nearby distance but hand off locations to the destination.

I've seen packages tracked which are about 15 miles away, then go up to another state, then eventually get delivered in a day or two.

I enjoy seeing the tracking route of packages shipped from China. Making the way to San Francisco, then to other states of the USA and eventually to my residence.

If you live very far from a major city, they might pass the package off to the U.S. Postal Service for final delivery. And it's pretty doubtful that the USPO does anything "Absolutely" or "Overnight."
